Wheelofnames aims to make its tools and information usable through clear text, semantic controls and optional visual enhancements. The features described here have been checked in source; they are not an accessibility certification.
Our Approach to Accessibility
Accessibility is considered in the structure of pages and tool controls. This statement describes implemented features and limitations without claiming WCAG AA compliance, an independent audit or perfect accessibility.
Accessibility Features
The site uses semantic headings, labelled controls, visible keyboard focus and responsive layouts. Informational pages use text and semantic links; native details and summary controls are used for FAQs where applicable. Tool results are available as text rather than only as colors or animation.
Keyboard and Screen Reader Considerations
Standard buttons, inputs and links support native keyboard interaction. The wheel has labelled entry controls, a polite live status region and a text winner result. The result region can receive focus after a spin. Decorative wheel canvases and confetti are hidden from assistive technologies. These source features do not establish compatibility with every screen reader or browser combination.
Motion and Visual Effects
The wheel checks the reduced-motion preference and provides a reduced-motion result path. Celebration is skipped when reduced motion is requested. Sound and celebration can be turned off, and results remain accessible as text. The theme also disables CSS animation and transitions under prefers-reduced-motion.
Known Limitations
The spinning wheel is a visual presentation, so its segment labels should not be the only way to understand the choices or result. With more than 40 active wheel entries, canvas labels are hidden; the entry list and text result remain available. Large lists, small screens and browser or assistive-technology differences may affect usability. Full manual keyboard, touch and screen-reader testing across supported environments remains pending.
Accessibility Feedback
Useful feedback identifies the page or control, the task, the barrier encountered and relevant browser, device or assistive technology. You can also use the Contact page. Send accessibility feedback by email to [email protected]. Do not include passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Ongoing Improvements
Feedback and practical testing can help identify improvements. This statement should be updated as features are verified and limitations change. See About Wheelofnames for an overview and the Terms of Use for general tool limitations.
