Giveaway Picker – Free Random Winner Picker

Add giveaway entries and use the Giveaway Picker to randomly select a winner. Choose one or multiple winners, run the draw, and view your selected results.

Giveaway Picker

Manual entries only. Your entries, results and history stay in this browser; no entrant data is sent to WordPress or external services.

Participants

Up to 500 entries, 200 characters each. Duplicate labels are separate chances. Uncheck an entry to exclude it.

    Draw settings

The same entry ID never wins twice within one draw. With this setting off, winning IDs are excluded from later draws until Clear History or Reset. Matching labels with different IDs can both win.

A short decorative confetti flourish; skipped when reduced motion is preferred. Selection happens before celebration.

    Previous Winners

The latest 50 draws are shown. Exclusions still remember winning IDs in the current entry list when older draws leave visible history. Clear History clears latest results and exclusions, while keeping entries and settings.

    What Is a Giveaway Picker?

A giveaway picker randomly selects one or more winning entries from a participant list you provide. Use this online Giveaway Picker after collecting and checking entries according to your own giveaway rules.

The tool works with manually typed or pasted labels. It does not connect to social accounts, import comments or verify whether someone met an entry requirement.

    1. 1Entries
    2. 2Choose Winner Count
    3. 3Set Repeat Policy
    4. 4Random Selection
    5. 5Winner(s)
You supply the participant list and draw preferences. The picker selects eligible entry IDs and displays their labels; it does not collect entries for you.

How to Use the Giveaway Picker

    1. Prepare your participantsReplace the sample list. Use Add a participant and Add, or Paste participants, one per line followed by Add pasted entries.
    2. Set the winner countChoose Number of winners (1–50), keeping it within the eligible participant count.
    3. Decide later-draw eligibilityAllow previous winners in future draws is off by default. Enable it only if your rules permit another win on a later draw.
    4. Pick and reviewPress Pick Winners. Review Giveaway Winners and Entry details, copy results if needed, or use Pick Again for another draw.

Check your entry list before selecting winners. The picker does not decide who qualifies or contact the selected participants. Celebration on is optional and does not influence selection.

Add Giveaway Entries or Participant Names

You can add names, manually entered usernames, entry IDs or other short participant labels. A typed username is plain text: it does not connect to or verify an account.

The list supports up to 500 total entries, including disabled entries, with up to 200 Unicode characters per normalized label. Blank labels are rejected; leading/trailing whitespace is removed and repeated whitespace is normalized. Paste one participant per nonblank line.

Each record gets a stable internal ID. Identical labels are allowed as separate entries. Uncheck an entry to exclude it without deleting it; disabled entries cannot win. Include multiple entries for one participant only when your own rules allow them.

Choose How Many Winners to Pick

Choose a whole number from 1 to 50 using Number of winners (1–50). Giveaway Picker starts at 1 winner, and the count cannot exceed the currently eligible entry pool.

Eligibility includes enabled entries and, when repeats are off, excludes earlier winning IDs. If you request too many winners, the picker shows an error and records no new draw. Lower the count or review eligibility. If no eligible entries remain, add or enable participants, allow previous winners when appropriate, or clear history.

    One selected participant

    100 eligible entries → Pick 1

    1 selected entry ID

    Several selected participants

    100 eligible entries → Pick 3

    3 unique selected entry IDs
Within one draw, selection is without replacement. The same ID cannot fill two winner positions, even when previous winners are allowed in future draws.

How Does the Giveaway Picker Choose Winners?

The picker chooses at random from eligible entry IDs, then shows the labels belonging to the selected IDs. For a single winner, each eligible record has the same selection chance.

The existing Multi-Winner Picker Engine uses the browser’s Web Crypto random values. Rejection sampling discards values that would bias an index choice. A partial Fisher–Yates sample selects the requested number of distinct IDs without replacement.

Random selection happens before the optional winner reveal or celebration. If secure randomness is unavailable or fails, the picker reports an error rather than recording a winner using an insecure fallback. These technical choices are not certification or an audit of your giveaway.

Can the Same Participant Win More Than Once?

The same unique entry ID cannot win twice within one draw. Across later draws, eligibility depends on Allow previous winners in future draws.

    Setting off · default

Earlier winning IDs still in the entry list are excluded from later draws. Clear History or Reset clears those exclusions.

    Setting on

Previously winning enabled entries can be selected again in later draws. Within each draw, every selected ID is still unique.

A participant represented by separate records can occupy more than one winner position because the picker recognizes IDs, not real-world people. Two matching labels do not prove that the records represent the same person.

What Happens If the Same Name Is Entered Twice?

Identical text labels stay as separate records with different IDs. They do not merge automatically, so both can be eligible and both can win in a multi-winner draw.

    • Alex · entry A
    • Alex · entry B
    • Jordan · entry C
    • Sam · entry D

    Four separate records

The two Alex labels have different IDs and do not merge.

    For one winner

If all four are equally eligible: Alex-labelled entries 50%; Jordan 25%; Sam 25%.

A repeated label changes its representation in this eligible pool. This example is for one selected winner; there is no dedicated weighting setting.

Review duplicates before the draw if your rules allow only one entry per person. This tool does not detect duplicate people or filter platform comments; it only uses the entry records you supply.

Can You Pick Another Giveaway Winner?

Yes. Use Pick Again to run another draw with the current winner count and repeat policy. This replaces the latest displayed result and adds a new record to Previous Winners.

With repeats off, prior winning IDs are excluded while they remain in the current entry list. With repeats on, they can win again in later draws. Pick Again is another draw; it is not a special replacement-winner or alternate-winner feature, and it does not undo a previous draw.

Previous Winners retains the latest 50 draws. Its separate exclusion ledger remembers current winning IDs even after an older draw leaves visible history. Clear History clears history, latest results and those exclusions while keeping entries and settings.

Can You Edit or Remove Giveaway Entries?

Yes. Add, Add pasted entries, editable participant labels, Delete and inclusion checkboxes let you maintain the list. Clear participants empties it. Previous entries and Next entries paginate lists at 25 entries per page.

Entry changes clear the latest result display while retaining recorded history. Editing a label preserves its ID and previous-winner exclusion; older history keeps the label recorded at draw time. Deleting an entry removes that ID from the current exclusion ledger. A newly added record with the same label is a new ID and can be eligible.

There is no separate Remove Winner action. Delete or disable an entry to remove it from the next eligible pool, or use the default previous-winner exclusion. Reset restores the eight sample participants, one winner, repeats off and celebration on, and clears history, exclusions and latest results.

Does the Giveaway Picker Save My Entries and Winners?

When browser storage is available, the picker saves entries, settings, draw history, the latest result reference and the previous-winning-ID exclusion ledger in localStorage. They can be restored on the same browser, device and site origin.

Previous Winners holds up to 50 draws, newest first, with 10 draws per history page. Each recorded winner includes its entry ID, label and selection order; a draw also has an ID and timestamp. Exclusions are separate from the 50-draw display limit.

This is browser-local convenience storage, not an account, cloud sync, public draw record or permanent audit log. Clearing browser data can remove it. If storage is blocked or unavailable, entries and results last only for the current page session. Reset and Clear History have the distinct effects described above.

What Can You Use a Giveaway Picker For?

Use this random giveaway picker for participant lists you have already collected and reviewed. It helps select winners; entry collection and eligibility checks remain your responsibility.

    Website giveaways

Paste the eligible participant labels from your own signup or submission process.

    Newsletter and community giveaways

Select from a reviewed subscriber or community entry list you prepared yourself.

    Creator giveaways

Use entries you already collected; the picker does not import a comment feed or verify followers.

    Manually collected entries

Use short IDs when you want participant labels without including full names.

Organizers remain responsible for their own rules and applicable laws. Using this tool does not establish that a promotion, contest or sweepstakes is compliant.

    Giveaway Picker vs Raffle Picker

Giveaway Picker focuses on selecting participant winners for giveaways or contests from a manually supplied list. Raffle Picker focuses on raffle-style entry lists, names or ticket identifiers.

Both use the same existing Multi-Winner engine, with different preset participants and default winner counts. Choose by the context of your activity rather than an invented difference in randomness technology. Neither context makes this page an automatic social-platform importer.

Giveaway Picker vs Random Name Picker

Giveaway Picker offers giveaway-focused one- or multi-winner selection, previous-winner eligibility and draw history. Wheel of Names presents a visual spinning wheel for general one-result name selection.

Choose the wheel when the visual spin suits your activity. This Giveaway Picker uses a participant draw and result cards, rather than a spinning wheel.

    Giveaway Picker Examples

These are example configurations, not results from real giveaways.

One recipient from a signup list

    100 eligible entries → choose 1 winner → 1 selected entry ID.

Three recipients from a community list

100 eligible entries → choose 3 winners → 3 unique selected IDs within that draw.

    Manually prepared labels

Enter Member A, Member B and Member C after checking your entry rules. These are plain text labels, not verified accounts.

For a later event draw, keeping repeats off excludes earlier winning IDs; turning repeats on restores their eligibility in future draws. Neither setting verifies whether your announced giveaway rules permit another win.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is a giveaway picker?

A giveaway picker randomly chooses winning entries from a participant list supplied by the user. This tool supports one or multiple winners.

How do I randomly pick a giveaway winner?

Add or paste eligible participant labels, set Number of winners (1–50), review the previous-winner setting and press Pick Winners. The picker shows the selected results.

Can I pick multiple giveaway winners?

Yes. Choose a whole number from 1 to 50, no more than the current eligible entry count. Selected IDs are unique within one draw.

Can the same participant win more than once?

The same ID cannot win twice in one draw. Across later draws, Allow previous winners in future draws controls eligibility. Separate entries with matching labels can both win.

What happens if the same name is entered twice?

Each record has its own ID; matching labels do not merge. If all records are equally eligible, duplicate labels have more representation in a one-winner pool. Review duplicates according to your rules.

How many giveaway entries can I add?

Up to 500 total entries, including disabled entries, with up to 200 Unicode characters per normalized label. Paste one entry per nonblank line.

Can I pick another giveaway winner?

Yes. Pick Again runs another draw, replaces the latest result display and adds a history record. Your repeat setting determines whether earlier winners are eligible.

Does the Giveaway Picker save my entries and winners?

If localStorage is available, entries, settings, history, the latest result reference and exclusions persist on the same browser/device/origin. Blocked storage provides only the current session; this is not cloud sync or a public audit record.

    Is the Giveaway Picker free?

Yes. You can use this free giveaway picker without creating an account. Supply your own participant list and review your giveaway rules.

Can I use it for Instagram, Facebook or TikTok giveaways?

Only with participant entries you collect and supply yourself. This tool does not automatically import comments, likes, followers or participants from Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. It does not connect accounts or verify platform entry requirements; a typed username is just a text label.
