      What Is a Wheel Spinner?

A wheel spinner is an online tool that combines a customizable list with a spinning-wheel display. Each enabled entry becomes a segment, and a spin ends with one selected entry beneath the pointer.

This free spinner wheel lets you change the list between spins. Use short labels so the segments are easy to read when you show the wheel to a group.

How to Use the Wheel Spinner

      1. Add your choicesType an entry or paste a list, one choice per line.
      2. Review or edit the entriesCheck labels and enable only the entries you want included.
      3. Press SpinStart the selection and watch the wheel turn.
      4. See the selected resultThe pointer and winner message identify the selected entry.
      5. Keep or remove the winner and spin againKeep the list intact or take out that winning entry.

Create Your Own Custom Spinning Wheel

Replace the four default options with your own entries to create a custom wheel spinner. Edit a label directly in the entry list, delete an unwanted option, or clear all entries to start fresh.

Enter one or paste a list

Use Add for a single choice. For several choices, paste one per line and choose Add pasted entries. Pasted choices are added to the current list.

      Arrange your list

Shuffle changes the entry order. Enable or disable an entry to decide whether it takes part in the next spin.

      Reset when you need to

Reset wheel and history restores the original options and settings and clears past results. Use it when you want a fresh start.

Wheel settings let you change the wheel title, choose Ocean or Orchard segment colors, adjust spin duration, and turn sound or celebration on or off. These settings change the experience; they do not choose the winning entry.

What Can You Put on the Wheel?

      Group fun

Let a group suggest entries, review the list together, and use fullscreen mode where the browser supports it.

How Does the Wheel Spinner Choose a Winner?

The selected result is determined before the animation runs. The wheel’s final rotation is calculated to put that selected segment under the pointer.

Pressing Spin starts selection from the enabled entries using random values supplied by your browser’s Web Crypto API. Rejection sampling discards values that would map unevenly to the list, giving each entry an equal selection chance. If secure selection is unavailable, the tool reports an error rather than using a weaker fallback.

      From Spin to Result

      1. Your ChoicesThe enabled entries form the spinning wheel.
      2. Press SpinYou start a new spin.
      3. Secure Random SelectionThe browser supplies random values.
      4. Result SelectedAn entry is chosen; its final rotation is calculated.
      5. Wheel AnimatesThe wheel turns toward that rotation.
      6. Pointer Shows ResultThe selected segment aligns with the pointer.
Selection determines the result. Animation reveals it. The spinning display follows a result already chosen from your enabled entries.

Does Every Entry Have an Equal Chance?

Yes. Every enabled entry has one equal selection chance. When each label appears once, all those choices have the same probability.

      • 50%2 entries · 50% each
      • 25%4 entries · 25% each
      • 20%5 entries · 20% each
      • 10%10 entries · 10% each

Only enabled entries count toward these totals. Changing spin duration or shuffling the list does not give an entry extra chances.

What Happens If You Add the Same Entry Twice?

A repeated label creates separate entries. Each entry has an equal chance, so a label that appears twice has two chances to be selected.

Same Number of Entries, Different Label Odds

      Four unique entries

      • A
      • B
      • C
      • D
      • A25%
      • B25%
      • C25%
      • D25%

      One label appears twice

      • A
      • A
      • B
      • C
      • A50%
      • B25%
      • C25%
Each entry gets one chance in four (25%). When A appears twice, those two separate chances add up to 50% for the label A. B and C each have 25%. This is duplicate-entry behavior, not a dedicated weighting control.

Can You Remove a Winner and Spin Again?

Yes. Spin Again leaves the winning entry in the list. Remove Winner takes out that selected entry before the next spin, which is useful when you want to avoid choosing that entry again.

      Keep Winner vs Remove Winner

      Before the spin
      • A
      • B
      • C
      • D
      Winner: B

      Keep Winner

The selected entry remains available for another spin.

      • A
      • B
      • C
      • D

B is still in the four-entry pool.

      Remove Winner

The selected entry is removed before the next spin.

      • A
      • C
      • D

      B is absent; A, C and D remain.

Use Spin Again to keep the winner eligible, or Remove Winner to change the next spin’s entry pool. Removing an entry does not erase its earlier result from spin history.

If another entry has the same label, it remains eligible. Removing a winner changes the future entry pool, not results already recorded in history.

      Spin History

Winner history shows your most recent results with their times, newest first. The last 100 winners are kept in this browser when storage is available.

Does the Wheel Spinner Save My Choices?

The spinner stores entries, settings, and recent results locally in your browser when storage is available. Returning in the same browser can restore that wheel state.

      Frequently Asked Questions

      What is a wheel spinner?

A wheel spinner turns a list of entries into a spinning display, selects one entry at random, and shows it as the result. You can customize the entries to suit your activity.

How do I use the Wheel Spinner?

Add or edit the choices, check which entries are enabled, then press Spin. Once the result appears, choose Spin Again to keep the winner available or Remove Winner to take that entry out.

      Is the Wheel Spinner random?

The picker uses the browser’s Web Crypto API with rejection sampling to select an enabled entry. It determines the result before the wheel animation starts. The pointer then reveals that selected entry.

Can I add my own choices?

Yes. Change the default labels, add individual entries, or paste a list with one choice per line. You can also delete entries or clear the list before adding your own.

Can I add the same choice more than once?

Yes. Each repeated label is a separate entry with its own selection chance. Two A entries in a four-entry list give the label A a combined 50% chance.

Can I remove a winner after spinning?

Yes. Remove Winner deletes the selected entry from the next spin’s pool. It leaves earlier history results intact. Other entries with the same label are not removed.

Does the Wheel Spinner save my choices?

It saves entries, settings and recent results in local browser storage when available. The same browser may restore them when you return. There is no account saving or cross-device sync.

What is the difference between a Wheel Spinner and a Random Wheel?

Wheel Spinner focuses on a customizable animated spinning-wheel experience. Random Wheel focuses on general random selection from custom choices. They use the same underlying wheel mechanics.
